I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
