Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in strength within the city.
Note: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the group access locations they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in search of Casimir.
What’s Next?
According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Questers and Schemers tables.
Fans can look forward to discovering which players will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
